One of Lifeline Macarthur's great benefactors, Barry Dickinson supporter, leader and very hard working volunteer has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia.

Barry was previously the Vice Chairman of Lifeline Macarthur, Chairman of our Friends of Lifeline and Vice Chairman of the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation. He also holds many other positions on committees throughout the community.
For many years Barry has been a generous supporter of many organisations. One of his companies Dickinson Developments would be sure to be at golf days, gala functions, sporting fixtures and fund raising ventures for numerous charities in our local community.
Lifeline has enjoyed the support of Dickinson Development and Barry himself for many years. However, on the 30th May, 2001 Barry's best friend, John Dooner's son Paul, died by suicide. This was a life changing event for Barry. Barry grieved and continues to be deeply saddened at the death of this wonderful young man, Paul Dooner. Barry and Sue's children grew up with the Dooner children.
